Brian Kennedy, CPA, CISA, has been an audit principal with the firm since August 2008. He has nearly twenty years of comprehensive experience as an accounting and auditing professional. Brian initially worked as an auditor and firm network administrator, but he soon relinquished the daily administration of the network to a colleague and focused on accounting and auditing. Brian works with closely-held businesses and not-for-profit organizations and shares leadership of the employee benefit plans practice with Rick Heidebrink. His considerable experience with computer systems has allowed him to advise clients on both system and financial internal controls.

He is active in the Rotary Club of Toledo on its Community, Disability and Finance/Audit Committees and is a volunteer with the Toledo Estate Planning Council. Brian is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, ISACA and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Outside of the office, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Shay, and their two children hiking the trails of the local metroparks. When their son entered Cub Scouts, Brian took on an active role and is currently the Cub Scout Pack Treasurer.
